GE Aerospace Military Engine Demonstrator – Cold Section System Integrator in Brindisi, Italy

Job Description Summary

The Cold Section System Integrator will be responsible to coordinate and integrate design activities at Engine and Module System level within Military Engine Demonstrator program.

He/she will report to the Military Product Line – Engineering Section manager.

He/she will own/influence budget and operating plans and will work with cross functional teams. Business acumen and clear thinking are required to achieve results.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead integration and design activities of the Engine Demonstrator Cold Section modules including Accessory Gearbox, Intermediate casing, Low pressure/High pressure compressor, By-pass Duct

  • Provide technical oversight across systems, subsystems and disciplines; lead technical and program reviews

  • Define trade off strategies and manage technical decisions across design team

  • Engage and coordinate external partners according with program rules

  • Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams and mentor others in the organization

  • Ensure fulfillment of program milestones on time, on cost, on quality

  • Support the other Company Functions involved in the program by providing:- Technical Documentation in accordance to Company Policies and Procedures- Consulting service

  • Monitor and report to the leadership project status and significant business and technical issues

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university

  • Proven experience in Mechanical Design of Aerospace products

  • Significant experience in coordination of complex projects, including multiple partners collaboration

  • Technical Accountability/Ownership and Customer oriented attitude

  • Business acumen and clear thinking

  • Good knowledge of English and Italian languages, both written and oral

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Work VISA and Italian citizenship, according to local regulation, is required.
