Position Summary:

This role will be based in Located in Brisbane, Australia offering hybrid work opportunities. As an Operations Support Team Leader this role has 3-5 direct reports and reports to an MBP Manager. There are numerous opportunities at a fast growing site accredited by regulatory bodies for commercial production of Biologics. The Media and Buffer (MBP) team is a fundamental unit within the Operations department at the Brisbane Facility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and schedule daily activities for cleaning of operational areas. Maintain the cleaning schedule to include fortnightly, quarterly, annual cleans, as well as extra cleans for emergency or new equipment and liaise with Production Supervisors to ensure the cleaning schedule is approved.

  • Role model safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working.

  • Lead team values to drive morale and maintain a hard working quality culture.

  • Build and promote a team environment with a focus on working collaboratively.

  • Conduct daily tiered meetings with the operations support team to review Safety, Quality and Daily activities.

  • Facilitate real time communication with Production Supervisors / Internal Stakeholders to increase of frequency cleaning as needed to meet production schedule demand.

  • Review relevant cleaning logbooks frequently to ensure compliance to GMP standards.

  • Ensuring adequate supplies of cleanroom gowns (scrubs, smocks and coveralls) and ancillary supplies (e.g. mop heads) are in circulation sufficient to meet production schedule demand.

  • Co-ordinate, maintain and clean the Controlled Not Classified (CNC) corridor in the Production Facility

  • Creation of MEX CMMS requests to maintain facility fit and finish standards.

  • Assemble, autoclave and filter integrity test manifolds used in Operations. Maintain the Autoclave areas and ensure that manifolds are prepared and delivered in time for processing.

  • Manage relationships with cleaning and laundry vendors and ensure that on time delivery and consistent support for operations is met.

  • Continuously improve current cleaning and operational support processes and own quality records pertaining to those processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience leading a small team (3-5)

  • Hands on experience as a role model and an effective communicator for interdepartmental as well outside entities

  • Familiar with GMP GLP or food manufacturing standards

  • Strong operations and support skills and/or experience in a similar role
