Nestle State Field Sales Manager - QLD in Brisbane, Australia

The Opportunity

An opportunity currently exists for a high performing sales professional to manage one our successful Supermarkets State Field Teams. You will have the ability to drive results from our existing business partnerships focusing on the Supermarkets channel, managing a Team of Territory Sales Managers and Merchandisers throughout half of Queensland.

This management role will suit a motivated, passionate, tenacious and successful individual with a can do attitude in driving for results.

This role will allow you to:

• Lead and motivate your team to drive sales growth, deliver results and build a high team performance team culture.

• Work within a national team structure and be willing to embrace a collaborative team environment.

• Manage Independents customer groups in QLD

• Utilise your previous experience and knowledge to further develop and expand sales

• Build long term business relationships in a consultative manner, achieving true business partnership

A day in the life…

• Achieve key sales objectives in each monthly Cycle and against yearly performance goals, as set by the business

• To lead half of the Nestle Supermarkets QLD team, stores and Key Accounts/Contacts

• Manage, train, coach and develop a highly skilled, motivated team of Territory Sales Managers and indirectly manage a large team of Merchandisers. Work to the highest level of the Nestle Leadership Principles

• Develop commercial relationships with the key Independents MSO’s and Corporate customers

• Build strong internal relationships with the Nestle Supermarkets Customer team to capitalise on sales opportunities

What will make you successful

• Prior management experience, with strong leadership skills and management disciplines

• Proven sales experience, ideally gained within the consumer-packaged goods industry

• Highly motivated, passionate and able to motivate and inspire/lead others

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to different stakeholders

• Strong planning, selling and negotiation skills

• Sound commercial acumen, experience in managing trade spend to company guidelines

• Strong analytical skills with an ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment

• Highly competent in Outlook, Excel and Power Point, with knowledge of Power Bi desirable

• Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have permanent residency.

*This position requires a current driver’s license and for persons to travel & stay away from home at least a minimum 3-5 days a month and fly interstate a few times a year.
