At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft. We have an new exciting and career defining opportunity for a Maintenance Manager - Asset Management & Reliability

How You'll Contribute

  • Own asset performance and lifecycle management

  • Drive maintenance methodologies including condition based and predictive maintenance

  • Monitor of machine performance to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Own & develop the GKN Filton asset criticality list and asset condition appraisal to identify actions to mitigate risk, support CAPEX projects and identify areas where investment is required

  • Mitigate risks posed by assets including developing continuity plans, critical spares lists and service agreements

  • Own & develop reliability maintenance metrics/KPI’s

  • Organisation & leadership of criticality assessment and risk based maintenance analysis (FMEA/RCA/REM) teams

  • Stores and materials management, ensuring accurate cost per asset can be identified

  • Manage reliability engineers to deliver key responsibilities

The day to day duties will include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing machine breakdown data and driving root cause analysis

  • Leading reliability engineers

  • Working with various functions to drive projects including machine overhauls, investments and business continuity planning

  • Reviewing machine maintenance routines and adapting where required to drive uptime, availability and reliability

  • Supporting maintenance engineers and leaders in delivering machine maintenance

  • Investigating and implementing condition based monitoring to drive predictive maintenance

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Technical degree or apprenticeship with 10+ yrs of experience

  • Proven track record of leadership

  • Strong analytical, IT and communication skills

  • History of driving problem solving with effective implementation of root cause countermeasures

  • Ability to work across functions driving projects and improvements

  • History of engineering development and/or implementation of new methods of maintenance.
