Red Hat Associate Software Quality Engineer OpenShift (Brno) in Brno, Czech Republic

Job Summary

The Red Hat OpenShift Engineering team is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer to join us in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work on the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, built on container technology and the Kubernetes cluster management system. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, including designing test plans, extending automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests specifically for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform installation. You will make sure that our solutions fulfil the highest possible levels of enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability. As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will gain a deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, etc. You will be a part of Red Hat’s culture, which makes us unique in the Industry, a culture enriched with Open Management Practices, Open Decision Framework, and diversity and inclusion. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your scrum team to improve your understanding of features and offerings

  • Work with the complete Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions portfolio and make sure that our solutions are of the highest possible enterprise quality

  • Create, review, deliver, and maintain test plans and cases

  • Develop new automated and manual tests

  • Monitor and analyze automation failures

  • Discover, report, and verify bugs and communicate the impact of bugs and issues to developers and support teams

  • Learn about the right methods and best practices to get to the root of problems

Requirements

  • Passion, curiosity, and desire for testing and examining how things work

  • Motivated and capable of learning and adapting to new technologies quickly

  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems

  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language like Python, Golang, or Ruby

  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines; willingness to accept challenges

  • Available to work 5 days per week

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  • To be able to work from the Brno office
