Description The Regional Account Representative is responsible for generating revenue growth in new and existing accounts. This position will employ a consultative selling approach to multi-location accounts within Rumpke's footprint. The Regional Account Rep will have dual responsibility for both prospecting and closing sales relating to existing and new customers to meet or exceed the market's budgeted revenue growth. Responsibilities of Position: Perform negotiations, presenting terms and conditions working through mutually acceptable contract. Develop and manage cost reduction programs for commitments made to each account. Reduce costs and provide value added services. Assist to set, and fully deliver on, yearly sales forecasts and profit margins. Provide a forecast of future sales (quarterly). Meet or exceed the markets assigned budget for Regional Accounts by prospecting, developing, and selling new business on long term contracts (3 years or greater). Grow existing Regional Account customers by cultivating additional services that fits customers' needs and are not currently being provided. Work closely with Rumpke hauling companies to prepare and submit pricing on multi-location bid requests as well as work closely. with William Thomas Group and the related National Account Representative when accounts move from Regional to National. Analyze spreadsheets of customer data to assess and advise on locations we can and cannot service, "right-sizing" opportunities, and service level standards. Follow-up and pursue leads provided by the market sales representatives, giving feedback to the markets on given lead(s), as well as maintain prospect information of new sales opportunities in territory through utilization of the Growth Management System (GMSBoard) on a daily basis, scheduling and documenting activities, and developing prospective customer profile. Complete all company provided training sessions. Perform data entry to populate electronic sales orders via the Sales Management System (SMS). Submit and review for accuracy reports and other paperwork in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy. Ensure Customer Service Agreements are in place and remain current for complete Regional Account Manager (RAM) customer base. Perform all tasks in a safe manner, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Abilities Needed for Position: Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications and Outlook, SAP experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including negotiation expertise. Must be organized with good time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment. Possess proven analytical/problem solving solutions for the customer and the company. Good Driving record, able to meet Rumpke driving qualifications. Proven track record cultivating additional lines of business within an existing account, expanding the business relationship, as well as track record closing "new accounts". Foresight to develop marketing strategies that differentiates our offer from the competition. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, in a team, or lead a team to meet or exceed goals. The hours and level of responsibility may vary by location. Physical Requirements in a Regular workday: Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 10lbs and occasionally up to 35lbs.
