Duties:Responsible for the design and development of firmware targeting Nordic microcontrollers. Work on maintaining and updating existing firmware codebases. Write, maintain, and update test procedures for firmware applications and subsystems. Perform documentation of any new firmware modules written or usage of open-source modules and participate in architecture design and code reviews. Collaborate with team members on board bringup and system integration. Use lab equipment such as logic analyzers, protocol sniffers, power supplies, and oscilloscopes. Perform firmware debug and root cause analysis as necessary and participate in software/firmware risk analysis and mitigation. Implement effective software version management practices to maintain codebase integrity and facilitate collaboration among development teams.   Education Required:Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering or related fieldsExperience Required:5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupations (e.g., Engineer)Special Requirements:All work experience must be progressively responsible. Experience must include at least 3 years of work with the following technologies: 1.Designing and developing firmware (both bare-metal and RTOS-based) applications using ZephyrRTOS and FreeRTOS.2.Writing drivers for IMUs from InvenSense and STMicro.3.Developing and maintaining development tools in C and Python.4.Developing and maintaining a C program that tests new motion processing algorithms against existing data to reduce firmware development time.5.Maintenance of Python development tools that facilitate device/host communications with wearable devices.
