About the Role
As our Proposal Manager for Captures and Proposals, you will define, refine and oversee key bid, proposal and capture activities critical to accelerating the growth of Sierra Space. You'll report directly to the Senior Director for Capture and Proposal Management while you develop complex proposals and bid preparations, review and approve solicitations, identify all requirements and criteria for evaluation, and review templates, tools and guidelines for continuous improvement of the proposal process. Your duties will also include oversight of proposal activity audits, proposal performance metrics, and improvements to the integration of program proposal efforts with the business process.

The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Bachelor's degree in a technical or space-related field.
Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
Strong leadership skills in organizing, coordinating & leading a diverse team (program management and technical) through the proposal process.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the following disciplines: Business development, capture management and processes, program management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification.
Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace.
Experience in leading proposal development campaigns, activities, processes, and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of proposal management activities, process, and procedures relative to Department of Defense, federal or state government and commercial programs.
Strong analytical background in preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
Ability to prioritize tasking, coordinate writing assignments, deconflict proposal scheduling activities; provide proposal support resources, and ensure all possible resources are available to proposal activities.
Must be able to travel to domestic and international capture team locations .Preferred Qualifications:
An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is preferred
Proven track record of success in organizing, writing, producing, delivering, and winning both large and small competitive proposals.
Proven collaboration, team building, active listening, and critical thinking skills along with the ability to guide and motivate a team through challenges to optimize results
Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance
Demonstrated passion for working on high technology applications for space missions
Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of US Government budgeting and DoD acquisition processes
