We are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Climate and Energy Transition Expert.

We count on you for:

  • Identify & design high impact Climate & Energy Transition projects.

  • Provide actionable options & decisions to be made by the GBUs and sites.

  • Support priority projects implementation at Top sites.

  • Provide energy markets knowledge & develop a network of renewable energy developers, producers & traders.

  • Consolidate forward looking Greenhouse Gas (GHG) trajectories towards carbon neutrality (scope 1&2).

  • Watch for emerging technologies and new market trends & opportunities.

  • Lead early stage activities up to reaching Proof of concepts.

INDUSTRIAL ONE PLANET REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advise on Energy transition solutions and impacts when deemed necessary to support

  • Energy transition roadmaps design and implementation at sites.

  • Prepare and animate Quarterly reviews with the GBUs to discuss climate trajectories and decide on projects prioritization & implementation.

  • Prepare trajectory updates and recommendations for the Quarterly Group Environment SteerCo.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of environmental standards related to climate accounting such as the GHG protocol.

  • Maintain a close collaboration with the Energy procurement team and a working knowledge of the main regulatory matters & energy policies in the countries where Syensqo operates.

  • Be the GHG & Energy topic leader for various internal programs such as the StarFactory excellence program & CSRD reporting preparation & compliance.

You will bring:

  • MSc in Energy Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • A minimum of 7 to 10 years experience dealing with various energy & industrial projects

  • management in the chemical or energy sector.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse & transversal groups of colleagues & business partners to achieve desired results.

  • Expertise Energy efficiency & Energy production technologies.

  • Passion for sustainability.

  • Strong analytical skills & ability to simplify problems and propose actionable options.

  • Effective communication & collaboration skills.

  • Strong focus on actions & delivery mindset.

  • Treats others with dignity and respect.
