Our North Buffalo branch is hiring a customer-focused Universal Banker to help clients discover products and services that fit their needs. Universal Bankers are exposed to many aspects of banking and perform many functions.

What we ask of you:
Address needs and work to solve customer problems through active listening
Utilize an in-depth knowledge of Evans products and services to be able to identify referral opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions to new and existing clients to achieve referral goals
Able to identify opportunities by asking probing questions to better understand the customer’s needs and work in deepening their relationship with the bank and affiliates
Successfully assist customers with banking transactions including but not limited to deposit functions, account openings, and retail loan services
Adhere to customer service standards while addressing customer service needs and resolving customer issues and requests
Process currency precisely and maintain established cash levels throughout the branch while working within approved authority levels
Maintain main vault cash, checks and related data including cash orders and shipments to Federal Reserve and money transfers to and from tellers
Work collaboratively with Branch Staff to continue the success of the branch by fostering a positive and team focused environment
Consistently seek opportunities to creatively make something better
Get excited about making an impact
Maintain confidentiality while handling all customer (internal and/or external) information
Uphold established regulatory requirements, including operational policies and procedures for processing customer transactions
Other duties as assigned
Experience and competencies:
Previous Teller or related banking experience preferred but not required, or experience in a customer service/sales and cash handling role in a similar capacity
Notary public or willingness to obtain within 180 days
Fully cross functional demonstrating strong knowledge of bank operations and in-depth knowledge of bank products and services
You pleasantly embrace change and demonstrate a consistent energy in achieving your goals whether through individual or team initiatives
You have the ability to consistently deliver superior customer service through excellent communication and strong active listening
You demonstrate a self-starter attitude and take initiative and ownership in your work product
Comfortable using multiple computer software systems when assisting customers
Compliance with Evans’ policies and procedures, and Federal/ State regulations
This position is anticipated to pay a base rate between $17.50/hourly and $20.18/hourly. This rate does not include potential incentive pay and benefits paid for by the company which may be in addition to the base rate of pay. The base rate of pay is determined by factors such as required experience, skill set needed, business impact of position, value of budget oversight and people management, among other factors. Your Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to answer specific questions you may have regarding the base pay range for this position.
