M&T Bank Workforce IAM Scrum Master I in Buffalo, New York
The Bank sponsors individuals for TN and H-1B transfers on a case by case basis. Please note that this position is not open to anyone on an F-1 student visa including those eligible for CPT/OPT or the Stem OPT extension.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for in-person collaboration at our Buffalo, NY Tech Hub.
Overview:
The Workforce IAM Scrum Master is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of Scrum practices and principles and will be responsible for facilitating agile processes, supporting various WIAM teams, and ensuring effective collaboration and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Assist the Product Owner in managing the backlog, prioritizing common goals, and keeping the board up-to-date.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
Support teams by removing obstacles that hinder progress and productivity.
Promote and facilitate effective communication and collaboration among teams and team members.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a member of an agile team, including a minimum of 1 year’s Scrum Master or related equivalent experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a member of an agile team, including a minimum of 1 year’s Scrum Master or related equivalent experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field
• Background in Identity and Access Management or Cybersecurity
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in work deliverables.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $82,783.41 - $137,972.36 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
