Robert Half Staff Accountant in Calabasas, California
Description
We are in search of a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team in Calabasas, California. This role is integral to our finance team and involves assisting with the daily operations of our accounting department, maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, and performing general accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Conduct bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
• Perform regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation
• Collaborate with the accounting team to handle annual audits
• Assist the finance department in preparing financial reports
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes
• Ensure all payments are completed on time, including accounts payable and bank deposits
• Identify, resolve, or refer accounting issues to supervisors
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close
Requirements • Hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with General Ledger operations.
• Capable of preparing and recording Journal Entries.
• Experience in conducting Month End Close processes.
• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software.
• Ability to adhere to all legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organization skills.
• Must have an analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Must possess a strong ethical framework and unquestionable integrity.
• Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
