Zero Labs Automotive Contract Buyer and merchandise manager in California

Zero Labs Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Contract Buyer and Merchandise Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our procurement processes and overseeing the merchandise planning and inventory management. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, and merchandise management within the automotive industry supporting an online marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and streamline the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.

  • Create and maintain purchasing schedules to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, ensuring competitive advantage and cost efficiency.

  • Monitor inventory levels, track product performance, and make data-driven recommendations for merchandise planning and inventory management.

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new product opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimize business partnerships.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure effective merchandise planning and execution.

  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems and processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, contract negotiation, or related roles.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.

  • Experience in merchandise planning and inventory management, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficient in data analysis and using analytical tools.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
