What will I be doing in this role?

The Senior Benefits Analyst participates the design, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs, absence plans, qualified retirement, and non-qualified benefits programs, including defined benefit, defined contribution, 403(b) and 457(b) plans. Leveraging extensive experience and expertise in benefits administration, compliance, and analysis, the Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the effectiveness, competitiveness, and compliance with regulatory processes for the company’s benefits offerings.

The Sr. Benefits Analyst must have a strong knowledge and understanding of regulations and compliance requirements across applicable federal, state, and local regulations such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA. The Senior Benefits Analyst interprets and revises plan documents, benefit summaries and plan policies periodically and/or based on ERISA plan changes. The Senior Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, payroll, finance, and legal departments to align benefits strategies with organizational objectives and priorities.

  • This position will focus on qualified retirement plans such as 401a, 403b, and 401k.

  • Develops, implements, and administers employer-sponsored retirement programs, including both qualified and non-qualified benefits.

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets benefits-related data and metrics to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of existing benefits offerings, recommending adjustments or enhancements as needed to remain competitive and meet the needs of our workforce.

  • Serves as a point of contact for employees and vendors regarding benefits-related inquires, providing guidance and assistance as needed.

  • Stays informed about changes in benefits-related legislation and regulations, assessing their potential impact on our benefits programs, and recommending and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

  • Conducts regular vendor performance reviews to optimize value and service levels.

  • Develops and delivers employee communications related to benefits changes and updates, using various channels to effectively reach and engage our workforce.

  • Organizes and conducts benefit education sessions as needed to help employees understand their benefits options and make informed decisions.

  • Prepares regular reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders, summarizing key findings and insights related to benefits utilization, costs, and trends. Makes recommendations based on findings.

  • Conducts regular audits of benefits and/or absence enrollments to ensure system integrity and provide support to auditors as needed.

  • Serves as point of contact for EIS and HRIS for system updates, vendor integration changes, troubleshooting errors and problem resolution.

  • Contributes analytics to benefits and retirement strategy design, reporting, administration, and payroll support.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • 7 years of benefits experience.

  • 3 years of human resources experience preferred.
