This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.

Position Description:Harvard Business School (HBS) is preparing for our next digital transformation, and is seeking a forward-thinking, strategic, and customer focused Sr. Business Analyst to support and drive the development of innovative solutions, services, and strategies. We are an experienced team of information and technology professionals who have invested in building the foundation, eliminating silos, and increasing data quality across multiple systems. You will understand trends in technology and anticipate organizational needs to help inform operations and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of fundraising, prospect management, and alumni engagement activities.

Working with the Director of Business and Technology Operations, you will contribute to multiple aspects of technology operations and administration. In this role, you are responsible to advise on all aspects of good IT governance, communications, change management, and business process improvements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide daily operational support to the External Relations (ER) Department and ensure high-quality services. Reporting to the Director, the Sr. Business Analyst is an active and engaged member within the ER IT team and collaborates with colleagues across the department to facilitate change management related to advancement solutions.

  • Partner with departmental stakeholders to understand their objectives that are supported through available technologies.

  • Participate in projects to document requirements, scope solutions, and develop solutions.

  • Participate in daily team standups and recurring meetings on the management of all departmental technology systems and infrastructure.

  • This role is responsible for other duties as assigned.
