The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Rutgers University-Camden invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2024. Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics; whose research interests focus on Data Analytis, modeling of climate change and in general on issues related to Sustainability. Candidates should have a track-record in teaching, research, service, and mentorship commensurate to their professional experience.The search is part of larger cluster hire at Rutgers-Camden in the area of sustainability and is supported by funds from the Rutgers Presidential Diversity Hiring Initiative. As such, the successful candidate is also expected to be an active participant in the sustainability cluster and its associated activities such as program development. The new hire is expected to establish an independent research program related to the areas mentioned above, and is willing to collaborate with faculty across disciplines involved in the sustainability cluster.Review of application will begin on December 15, 2023 and continue until the position is filled.
