The Department of Biology Rutgers University-Camden invites applications for a two-year
post-doctoral fellowship. This position will work in the laboratory of Dr. Xingyun Qi at Rutgers
University (the State University of New Jersey) - Camden, Department of Biology. We are seeking
highly motivated individuals who are interested in mechanisms of plant developmental biology and
plant stress tolerance. Successful candidate will use a combination of molecular, genetic, cellular
and biochemical approaches to study the molecular mechanism how stomatal development is
regulated by abiotic stresses. They will participate in the initiation of the different research projects
available in the laboratory and are expected to independently conduct thier own research project.Applications must include: (1) resume (2) cover letter, (3) teaching statement, (4) name and contact

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in plant biology, biochemistry, or related fields.
Preferably applicants should have obtained their Ph.D. within the last 2 years. Experience in plant
biology, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry is highly desired, as well as knowledge of basic
cell biology and bioinformatics.
