ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Major areas of responsibility will be installation, start-up, inspection, preventative maintenance, resolve electrical issues, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency service of industrial process equipment. (Pumps, Wires, Motors, VFDs, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Systems, Piping, High Pressure Components, Industrial Controls, PLC Systems, etc)
  • Tracing wire and emergency service of industrial equipment. This position requires extensive knowledge in electrical troubleshooting, industrial/commercial electrical installations, electrical motor, and industrial controls, as well as PLC operation.
  • Assembly and installation of new equipment and systems at customer sites
  • Requires a solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic, electronics and experience in troubleshooting such systems
  • Represent and promote the company; its products and services, as well as pro-actively seek and pursue new prospects/projects, with existing and prospective customers, in order to increase profitable sales
  • Build relationships with our valued customers and keep their needs at the forefront at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-motivated, self-starter, results driven, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized and dependable
  • Strong Knowledge and background in mechanical, plumbing, electrical and electronic systems
  • Minimum eight years of documented experience in all phases of electrical work, including rough-in, trim-out, wiring of electrical equipment and fixtures, conduit installation, power distribution wiring including voltages up to 480V, and design /layout of electrical systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and the principles of electricity
  • Ability to diagnose electrical issues and maintain, adjust, repair, and replace electrical systems and components
  • Ability to perform load calculations for circuits and calculate working circuit ampacities to determine proper conductor size
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings, specifications, and diagrams. Minimum intermediate level computer skills with MS Office Suite experience to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • 3 Phase WYE and Delta experience, and electrical panel building
  • Be able and willing to learn and effectively utilize computer based la or, inventory, and maintenance tracking applications
  • Experience with installation, repair, and maintenance of PLCs
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and listening skills
  • High school or equivalent - required, Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Training or certification on NFPA 70E: Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
  • Must be willing to travel Extensively - usually 100% travel Monday - Friday.
  • Drivers license and excellent driving record required.
  • Ability to pass stringent background screening and obtain military base clearances.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to work outside under various environmental conditions
  • May include some exposure to hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Ability to maneuver around moving objects, vehicles, and/or machinery.
  • May be expected to drive for long periods of time.
  • The work is considered medium-to-heavy in nature and involves walking, standing, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, digging, pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis
  • Ability to climb ladders with 300 lb. weight limit
