Product Manager

Location: Hybrid role

Education, Training and Experience

A B.S. or B.A. degree in business administration, marketing, or other-related field required; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA preferred.

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in product management and banking/financial services strongly preferred.

Essential Duties

Responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management for assigned products and services. Consistent with the company’s strategic direction, identify customer needs, determine and communicate the value of features, prioritize those features, create roadmaps, and break down barriers preventing teams from delivering essential results, while also determining metrics for success. Responsible for implementation of new products and features, creating strong synergy amongst cross functional teams, while complying with regulatory requirements and operating policies and procedures.

Focus will be on promoting an optimal digital user experience emphasizing the value of 24/7 availability and real-time processing. Plans, designs, and launches efficient specific digital services systems in support of customer needs, of which the following duties are illustrative.

  • Develops and maintains knowledge of industry trends, requirements and customer service experience expectations including emphasis in the areas of digital customer interfaces, payments technologies, data management and software processes.

  • Manages assigned products and services delivered throughout the product life cycle with emphasis on planning, implementation and performance management including maintenance and upgrades.

  • Meets with internal stakeholders to define and develop customer, business, financial, technical, risk and operational goals and requirements.

  • Collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new products and services, and enhancements to existing products and services that will add value and take advantage of market opportunities.

  • Leads analysis of “make/buy” decision and manages external suppliers and partners related to product management function.

  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

  • Conducts market research and performs competitive analysis in order to make recommendations for new and enhanced products and services.

  • Annually or more often, adjust product and service feature and function roadmap and budgets for existing and planned expenditures.

  • Provides direction for, implements and amends product and services processes including customer/marketing requirements, pricing and other related policies.

  • In conjunction with the lines of business (Retail, Business Banking, Wealth), manages creation and execution of marketing/sales plan. Collaborates with Marketing to develop marketing plans, including pricing, and sales. Create and maintain appropriate collateral specific to electronic products, as well as participate in development of effective advertising and marketing campaigns.

  • Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas within assigned digital service platforms.

  • Designs, develops, and validates compliance in conjunction with information systems and risk management departments.

  • Plans and/or recommends operational and fraud management processes.

  • Works with both internal and external auditors to respond and reply to audit related inquiries.

  • Trains and supports sales force including customer site support; may design and/or conduct workshops for existing and prospective customers as warranted.

  • Acts in the capacity as a functional contributor alongside the Project Management Office (PMO) for launch activities and life-cycle program management thereafter ensuring:

  • Uses product management best practices in the development and delivery of

    solutions.

  • Effectively plans, budgets, and allocates resources required to implement the product vision.

  • Work to implement product and service roadmap for existing and planned expenditure needs.

  • Implements marketing promotions according to sales plans

  • Directs activities of Product Management Associate, as assigned.

  • Collaborates with other areas of the business, including Retail, Finance, Information Technology, Project Management, Information Security, Compliance, Fraud, BSA/AML, and Corporate Risk for product launches, as well as ongoing enhancements and support of existing products.

Compensation range- $77,000-$95,000

The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
