FARMERS NATIONAL BANK OF CANFIELD Internal Audit Manager in Canfield, Ohio

Description SUMMARY: Works closely with the Bank's various lines of business to ensure appropriate control design and test of control effectiveness across the audit program. This position reports to the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and is responsible for managing multiple concurrent audits, including the planning, execution, and reporting across the Internal Audit Compliance program and SOX program. This position will also work closely with the internal audit co-source provider, as well as provide consultation on risks, controls, and processes throughout the Bank and its subsidiaries. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with the Internal Audit (IA) Annual Risk Assessment, Audit Planning, Audit Budgeting, and SOX program Assist with Quarterly IA Updates for the Audit Committee, BERM Committee, ERM Committee, IT Steering Committee, and other committees when applicable Lead audit planning, including identifying and analyzing risks to develop risk-based audit programs, and preparing the appropriate documentation across the audit program Lead RFPs for various engagements under the Audit Committee Manage multiple internal audit projects concurrently with strong project and time management skills Perform detailed reviews over all testing and workpapers in accordance with IA standards and procedures, including FinOps, IT, and Compliance audits Prepare workpapers with quality and adherence to standards Draft audit reports based on issues identified, ensuring that findings are appropriately documented, and recommending value-added solutions based on the root cause Effectively lead any resources assigned to audit projects, including the co-source provider Effectively lead meetings, including the Exit Meeting and Close Meeting, and building consensus in audit findings and recommendations Track audit progress against planned milestones and ensure timely issuance of report Track open issues, follow-up with business lines on remediation status, and timely validate the remediation of audit findings Perform general administration, such as co-source oversight, logistics coordination, and manage audit file wrap-up and retention Engage with regulators (e.g., Federal Reserve, OCC, ODFI), as needed, and support responses to regulatory inquiries Ensure the overall quality, consistency, risk management, and adherence to department and professional standards and identify opportunities for audit process improvement Establish and maintain strong relationships with business unit management Remain current and increase knowledge of regulatory requirements that impact the organization, as well as in the areas of internal control, accounting, business, company products and company information Complete all mandatory and elective training in accordance with IA Standards and specific professional designations held, as well as maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations Provide coaching and feedback for direct reports, as well as performance management and development Shares knowledge of bank processes and controls with team members Regular, predictable attendance is an essential requirement of this position Complete all other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred Professional certification, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CAMS, and/or CRCM 7+ years of experience in internal audit, enterprise-wide risk management, business risk, and/or compliance with banking and finance industry experience Strong understanding of Banking and the Financial Industry, as well as consumer banking regulatory requirements Sound knowledge and experience of auditing skills and standards, including understanding risks and identifying controls Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet navigation/research and Outlook is expected Qualifications Education Bachelor
