What you would do as our Finance Business Partner

As our Finance Business Partner you will manage the the day-to-day finance function across the Carlisle Brass Group. In this role you will analyse performance, identify risk and ensure good financial governance across the business. This exciting opportunity will allow you to showcase your ability

and desire to deliver, namely during the production of monthly management accounts and subsequent group reporting, ensuring results show a true and accurate representation of business performance,

A key part of the job will be to play a supporting role, as directed by the Finance Director, in the implementation of the company’s strategic plans to enable financial and growth targets achievement. In this role your will have management responsibilities both directly and as cover for the AR & AP Manager, also supporting the development of the wider finance team.

You would also:

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of stock holding, including stock provision, analysing trends and setting deliverable actions. Supporting the business to meet stock reduction targets.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with internal and external auditors, maintaining excellent relationships. Ensuring any audit recommendations are actioned and implemented.

  • Provide financial and commercial analysis and opinion to support the day-to-day decision-making.

  • Work closely with other areas of the business (IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations) to ensure the integrity, reliability, and accuracy of system data, and supporting sales and EBIT growth.

  • Ensure strong financial governance through effective controls within the financial processes, improving or introducing new processes where applicable.

  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual business unit forecasts and budgets, including sales trends, margin impacts, new product initiatives, growth targets and overheads.

  • Has the highest levels of professional standards, integrity and confidentiality.

  • Has an In depth knowledge of latest financial standards and is a proficient user of Excel

  • Has excellent analytical skills and ability to assimilate data from various sources and synthesise inputs into actionable plans.

  • Is enthusiastic, organised and a team player

  • Has experience and a successful track record of working in a financial control environment.
