Warehouse Inventory Clerk

Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as aWarehouse Inventory Clerkand join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will receive and inspect merchandise from delivery trucks. Organize merchandise on racks, and must perform daily inventory cycle counts. Ensure machinery is functional through pre-op checks and match purchase orders to packing list and material. Fill requisitions, work orders, requests for materials, or other stock items, place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution. Sort material according to size, type, style, color, or product code. Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse. Any other warehouse related tasks or assigned by manager. This position requires basic mathematical and computer skills, and the ability to pass the required training to perform the job.

Non-Exempt Salary Grade (26)

Minimum Requirements: These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination.

  • Associate-s Degree with two (2) years of work experience, or

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of work experience is required.

  • Experience using warehouse tools such as pallet jacks and various hand tools is needed.

  • Ability to pick up 50 lbs. is mandatory.

    Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with shipping and receiving is a plus.

  • One year forklift experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Oracle System (IFMS) is desired.

  • Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.

Minimum salary $59,251 per year of a larger salary range --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate-s relevant experience and education.
