Your Job:

The Director of Quality is responsible for the overall operations of quality management performance improvement, and patient safety throughout Methodist Celina Medical Center. Ensures that the hospital's policies and practices are within appropriate guidelines as designated by all State and Federal agencies as well as accrediting agencies. Facilitates the hospital's Joint Commission accreditation compliance and survey readiness. Leads all aspects of patient safety and high reliability as outlined by Methodist Health System. Acts as a resource to members of the hospital executive and leadership teams in reference to quality data reporting and outcomes improvement, accreditation and regulatory requirements and high reliability.

Your Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in health profession required; Master's or equivalent experience preferred

• Certification in quality and/or patient safety required. CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) or Certified Patient Safety Professional (CPPS) preferred.

• Three to five years” experience related to areas of quality, clinical risk management/patient safety and/or process improvement with a minimum of two years in management

• Extensive knowledge of State, Federal and regulatory guidelines/standards as they relate to the patient care services and medical staff services

Your Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall strategic planning and implementation of a comprehensive quality management and patient safety program.

• Serves as a resource to Administration, managers, medical staff and employees related to quality and safety issues.

• Serves as the liaison for the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) related to quality issues that may arise.

• Oversees State, Federal and accrediting compliance. Serves as a resource for national trends and current and planned changes in standards and regulations related to hospital compliance.

• Responsible for the patient relations and grievance program.
