Job Overview & Responsibilities

The ULA Advanced Programs (AP) team is a multidisciplinary group that helps shape the evolution of future ULA launch vehicles, performs architectural trade studies, develops concepts for future product offerings, supports proposal development, creates technology development roadmaps, and develops new technologies through prototype builds. As a System Integration Engineer for Advanced Programs, you will be leading design efforts to develop future enhancements for Vulcan-Centaur and other launch vehicles. You will ensure that subsystems function together as an integrated system, translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, and lead cross-functional teams during concept develop

Responsibilities include:

Executing early program systems engineering activities. Performing systems integration activities across a small multidisciplinary team. Leading requirements development, including functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocations, capturing stakeholder expectations, decomposing system requirements down to the subsystem and component levels, interface definition, and use of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools. Leading concept development, including trade study planning / execution, and working with other technical disciplines to ensure the overall design meets mission needs. Leading systems analysis, including system modeling, failure mode analysis, test method definition, and risk / issue / opportunity management. Technical team leadership, including execution planning, technical decision making, requirements verification activities, and customer communicati Support to business development and proposal preparation, including Gate Review preparation and execution. Ensuring technical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Required Education Bachelor

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 6 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Integration principles, practices, processes, and tools; with an understanding of practical implementation of those processes. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical and programmatic issues. Experience with technology development design, development, planning, and testing. Familiarity with an Agile/Scrum framework. Experience leading system-level design reviews or major gate reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) and presenting to a diverse customer audience. Experience with proposal development and proposal team leadership. Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Top Secret clearance is required. US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and backgrou d with previous development programs to develop a new product from scratch or enhance an existing product. Technical knowledge in areas that drive aerospace design such as structural analysis and design, propulsion analysis and design, electrical analysis and design, software development, or system analysis Proficiency in generating, allocating, and verifying requirements for aerospace applications. Experience with space launch vehicle systems. Familiarity with MBSE or SysML. Experience working with subcontractors, including development of specifications and statements of work. Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $120,381.00 - $188,060.00
