Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Driver

Department: Vehicle Maintenance

Reports To: Vehicle Maintenance Garage Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: As a member of the Martin’s Family, the Vehicle Maintenance Driver assists the Vehicle Maintenance Department by providing optimal taxiing services and product distribution efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Drive and distribute Route Sales vehicles to various locations usually within a 350 mile radius, on occasion up to a 900 mile radius.

  • Drive to surrounding airports for passenger pick-ups.

  • Distribute parts such as but not limited to, oil, antifreeze and other small parts from Vehicle Maintenance Garage to various warehouse locations.

  • Ability to fuel vehicles as needed.

  • Coordinate locations for vehicle swaps.

  • Assists in vehicle part pick-up when needed.

  • Drives to pick up mechanics from vendors when warranty work is complete.

  • Other duties based on needs of company and the Vehicle Maintenance Department.

    Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Prior experience or training in the vehicle maintenance field

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current, valid driver’s license

  • Current, valid DOT Medical Card or ability to pass DOT physical examination

    Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding and use or GPS or Phone Guidance systems

  • Drive licensed personnel to pick CDL type vehicles
