Emerson Digital Channel Sales Director in Chanhassen, Minnesota

Digital Sales Channel is a key value creation sales channel that supports majority of our customers in Measurement Solutions. The Digital Channel Sales Director/ Sr. Manager leads the designs and deployment of the Digital Sales channel, processes and campaigns across North America. Primary focus of the role is ensuring the success of our Digital Sales Engineers by operationalizing the sales process, defining sales campaigns, and ensuring maximum performance of the channel through preparation, tools, coaching and cross-regional coordination. This role can be based in our Chanhassen, MN or Boulder, CO office.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Sales Management

  • Own the development of digital sales campaigns

  • Improve the bookings in low touch accounts through coordinated value creation actions

  • Support the deployment of the Digital Technical Support Engineers to support the Digital channel

  • Act as the community leader and functional manager of the Digital Sales Engineers

  • Ensure accurate onboarding, training, and support is provided to the Digital Channel and coordinate buddy groups

  • Improve the use of selling tools to operationalize selling activities

  • Implement and track important metrics for growing sales impact

Organization Deployment and Support

  • Become the support point for the deployment of the DSE function and/or other supporting roles

  • Observe the Business Ethics standards stipulated by Emerson

  • Inspire the sales teams and colleagues with a positive demeanor and approach

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • BS in Engineering/Technical

  • Minimum of Eight (8) years related experience required

  • Past experience in sales and business development

  • Great interpersonal skills relating at all levels of the organization

  • Experience developing and implementing strategy in a heavily matrixed organization

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Previous experience in remote/digital sales is beneficial

  • MBA preferred

  • Experience building, leading, and coaching teams a plus

  • Interest in new technologies

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $130,000- $155,000 considering the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
