CHARLEMONT - Lift Mechanic & Maintenance Worker Berkshire East Mountain Resort utilizes 3 fixed grip aerial chair lifts, 1 detachable high speed aerial chair lift, and two ground conveyors to bring fun and adventure to our guests. We are looking for competent lift mechanics who are seeking a change, and are ready to join our team. Someone who enjoys the mountain lifestyle and the outdoors will feel right at home here! Lift Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on all chair lifts. Individuals interact professionally with the lift operations staff and assist with lift operations training. They also collaborate with management and Patrol as needed. Job responsibilities: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ski lifts Complete and document daily start up and shut down procedures of ski lifts Ability to read and understand manufacturer\'s manuals, diagrams and schematics Diagnose and repair electrical problems and perform other specialized procedures Follow the company\'s safety and risk management policies and procedures Assure lifts comply with all ANSI, state, and other applicable codes, and regulations Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles as assigned Document work performed on lifts and submit lift records in a timely manner Work independently when needed as well as being an integral part of the team Other duties as assigned by leadership, such a lift evacuations, and special projects Qualifications: Mechanics must be a minimum of 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver\'s license Knowledge of basic hand and power tools Mechanical and/or low voltage electrical experience and/or aptitude Good communication skills, ability to collaborate with a team, and a strong work ethic Requirements: Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse mountain weather year round Perform physical activities such as climbing, working at heights, lifting, and hiking Use personal protective equipment as outlined in company and work procedures An interest in learning and attending additional trainings is essential Courtesy and respect when interacting with management, coworkers, and guests Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evening shifts during winter, overtime, etc. Experience in Lift Maintenance on detachable lifts is a plus Benefits: Free skiing and riding at Berkshire East and Catamount Ski Resorts Additional in-season free activities: instruction, mountain coaster, rafting, ziplining, etc. Activity vouchers for family and friends Discounts on food, including in the Crazy Horse Restaurant Discounts on retail merchandise Reciprocity with select resorts for skiing and mountain biking
