ACCOUNTING MANAGER

(Hybrid position, working 3 days in the office)

The Accounting Manager will act as the right-hand person to our Director of Finance and Accounting, helping to manage and administer the financial operations for Verbatim Americas LLC, which includes helping to manage the company's financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the establishment and maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets. The Accounting Manager will also supervise the A/P team and help develop and maintain financial and accounting systems for fiscal control and financial and managerial reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Manages general, cost, and property accounting activities, including: general ledger, accounts payable, travel and expense reimbursement, inventory valuation, capital expenditure authorization and control, and fixed assets.
  • Manages treasury and cash activities, including: domestic and foreign bank accounts, daily cash and EFT transactions, foreign currency exposure, and loan covenant compliance.
  • Works with the Director of Finance and Accounting to help coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Helps establish budgets and monitors expenditures against the budget. Updates financial forecasts.
  • Manages the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Prepares internal and external financial reports. Analyzes financial performance to AOP and forecasts.
  • Coordinates with independent auditors on accounting matters.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; or equivalent combination of education and experience; five to seven years of progressive, hands-on accounting managerial experience and proven supervisory experience.
  • CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Must be current with regulations and compliance issues, to include experience with internal control systems including requirements for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP software.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess sound judgement skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • It is a busy work environment; therefore, must be able to prioritize work and use time efficiently.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
