Please review the following job description:

Perform payroll tax processes, ensuring timely reporting and deposits to avoid penalties. Maintain tax information accuracy for processing by a third-party provider. Previous experience in tax research, compliance, and complex multi-state payroll preparation. Possess in-depth knowledge of Payroll Operations, TIH Policies, and IRS and state guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations for TIH tax entities.

  • Ensure accurate tax withholdings in Workday.

  • Execute multi-state payroll reporting and resolve complex inquiries from taxing authorities.

  • Assist with annual W-2 preparation and ensure timely reporting to all parties.

  • Process monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting via ADP.

  • Set up reporting structures and manage third-party tax vendor relationships.

  • Review tax payments and execute research/resolution of tax notices.

  • Conduct research to determine tax implications for various compensation payments.

  • Test system modifications for accurate tax reporting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or related field.

  • 3+ years of payroll tax and regulatory reporting experience.

  • Demonstrated Workday payroll expertise.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proven experience using Workday and ADP payroll tax modules.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Superior organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).
