Job Summary

Foodbuy is the foodservice industry’s leading Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on lowering purchasing and product costs for foodservice organizations. We currently have a Great Opportunity for career development and growth as a Data Intelligence Analyst, within our Termset Management, Data Intelligence Department. While core ownership includes executing Foodbuy’s Price Release process and maintaining system integrity and accuracy of our contracts, the analyst has significant autonomy to innovate and develop solutions to a wide range of team/departmental challenges and risks. This role is highly analytical in nature and a successful candidate will be organized and detail oriented with an aptitude for data analytics and process management utilizing a variety of tools (Excel, VBA, SQL, PowerBI).

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee team quality control processes, process compliance, identify areas of risk, and deliver solutions

• Responsible for Price Release accuracy and communication to distributors, members, and management

• Support all aspects related to the bi-monthly Foodbuy Price Release process including system enhancements

• Manage the accuracy of Foodbuy’s contracting and billing database (Supply Chain) as related to Pricing, Volume Allowances, and all other contract parameters

• Deliver results against a very strict calendar of deadlines

• Execute monthly team wide PowerBI Risk Dashboard, identifying key risks/insights to management

• Develop and maintain VBA Macros

• Create and visualize SQL Queries to derive business insights and opportunities direct from the database

• Perform various types of analysis by customer/distributor/category/item relative to purchase volume, quantities, pricing, and volume allowances (what are examples of analyses candidates have generated)

• Liaise with IT to improve the team’s ability to efficiently interface with Supply Chain

• Provide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders

• Develop product knowledge and understanding of market conditions

• Work with the appropriate internal stakeholders to resolve supplier billing discrepancies

• Create sustainable and repeatable solutions to ad hoc problems

• Execute all ad hoc tasks and audits at Manager’s discretion

Qualifications:

• Organized and both extremely results and detail oriented

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills (Vlookup/Pivot Tables/Power Query/Nested If’s, Visual Basic)

• Completion of undergraduate degree and/or equivalent business experience

• 4+ years of experience analyzing large volumes of data or commensurate job-related experience

• Prior experience utilizing Excel Formulas to automate repetitive tasks (what are examples of formulas they use regularly)

• Ability to read, interpret, and translate information across a variety of platforms to a variety of audiences

• Experience with complete MS Office Suite of products

• Experience with Power BI dashboard creation and SQL queries

• SQL, Visual Basic, and Macro experience preferred, however an ability to show an aptitude will be taken into consideration

• Prior systems and data processing experience required

• Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and collaboratively as part of a team

• Assertive, yet capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships
