We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and drive the successful execution of our projects.
The Middle and Large Business Insurance Project Manager will partner with the Strategy Team, SLT Leaders, and Partners on strategic initiatives and projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams with accountability for the management, quality and successful delivery of all projects within your area of responsibility. The Project Manager will be an organized individual with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and extended stakeholders across multiple projects simultaneously.
This role can be hired at different levels depending on background and experience.
Location: This is a hybrid role and will have the expectation of working out of one of our listed office locations Tuesday through Thursday, with Monday and Friday being work at home days.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Strategy Leads with aligning project objectives with Middle and Large Strategic Initiatives
Ensure successful transition from the current state to the future state through the project.
Prepare, manage and reinforce a change in terms of people, processes and technology.
Partner with leaders to ensure there is alignment from the stakeholders in the value realization for a specific project, identifying organizational and role impacts along with assessing process, training and communication needs, etc..
Build opportunity assessments to prioritize and sequence new concepts/work
Create and manage project portfolio and communication plans
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, monitor and report on project progress
Ensure all initiatives have clear strategic alignment as well as accountabilities and timelines, and that those are met
Assist with the creation of change management plans and assist with implementing strategies that help the organization adapt to change
Ability to create internal and external communications, and PowerPoint materials that tell the story
Deliver and maintain project artifacts: Business Project Planning, Organizational Impact Assessment (OIA), Business Implementation/Change Management Plan, Business Cost Estimates, User Acceptance Test Plans, Business Transition Plans, Risk/Issue/Decision Tracking
Facilitate impactful project meetings, create and maintain meeting documentation, assist in driving outcomes/results, and provide status reporting
Drive business resource planning, secure functional SME representation, develop allocation estimates, and maintain resource forecasts
Lead business readiness planning, leverage the Organizational Impact Assessment and develop the Business Implementation Plan, including identifying dependencies, risks and issues, and facilitating escalation and resolution
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management and 2 years of experience in P&C Insurance Industry
Strategic perspective of business drivers and enterprise-wide technology; able to integrate business and technology strategy into a well-defined initiative
Strong time management and organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled in project management deliverables as well as skilled in PowerPoint and content creation
Adaptable. Welcomes new technology. Ability to work in a fast changing, dynamic environment
Motivated, highly-dependable, self-starter. Works independently with minimal oversight
Ability to lead and influence others
PMP certification preferred
ADKAR certification preferred
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$87,500 - $150,000
The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
