Siemens Energy Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer - Transformer Repair Center Factory in Charlotte, North Carolina

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer at our new Siemens Energy Transformers Repair Center Factory at Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of systems that support our internal processes, identifying and improving manufacturing processes, and leading capacity enhancement projects. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will ensure that production operations are carried out efficiently, effectively, and in line with quality standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Leading the optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure the timely and high-quality production, contributing to the factory's overall success.

  • Planning and implementing multi-functional projects related to shop floor layout, Lean Manufacturing, tooling/fixture needs, etc.

  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, driving cost savings, waste reduction, and improved quality within the manufacturing operations.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity.

  • Research and implement innovative and/or digital tools to support and speed up the manufacturing process.

  • Analyzing factory capacity and developing strategies to enhance production output, thus contributing to the factory's success.

  • Training new talents and other colleagues in Lean Topics and High-Performance Team.

  • Implementing and maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing operations, contributing to the factory's success.

  • You will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation of innovative, optimized systems, driving operational efficiency, and guiding our team through a seamless integration process.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

  • 10+ years previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Electric and Metal mechanical industries. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.

  • Takes initiative and ownership.

  • Team player with leadership tendencies.

  • Adaptable to a constantly changing environment.

  • Continued commitment to learn and apply knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with external partners.

  • Language: English [Read, write, communicate effectively]

  • Capable of independent decision-making within set parameters.

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

  • Proficient with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office programs, and AutoDesk CAD programs.

  • Experience with SAP

  • If not local the candidate must be willing to relocate to Charlotte-NC area.
