Honeywell Sr Benefits Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Senior Benefits Analyst, H&I Active/Retiree and Non-Core

We are looking for an experienced, data-driven Sr. Benefits Analyst to be responsible for the administration and oversight of the US Honeywell Health & Insurance programs (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability, etc.) for our active, retiree and executive population. In this role, you are providing operational support to standard work, delivering standardized and self-service HR solutions, and driving digital transformation initiatives forward. You will have a significant impact on optimizing HR processes, enhancing employee experience, and driving HR's digital transformation journey, ultimately contributing to the success and effectiveness of Honeywell's overall operations. Ensure operations are compliant with current government law and regulations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, as well as with Honeywell policies. Leads a range of projects that have high visibility and vary in scope and complexity for ongoing work operations, provides benefit claim responses (appeals, subrogation, and plan requests), assist in wellness initiatives, and supports benefit administration for acquired / divested employees. Supports the annual benefit enrollment process including managing biometric screenings, health fair, and UAT testing. Supports the administration of our non-core benefits, service awards and tuition reimbursement processes. Partners with vendors for the operation of the various H&I plans, interacts, and influences diverse internal key stakeholders, develops, and refines operating procedures, drives continuous improvement focusing on the key Honeywell initiatives of an excellent user experience of Right & Fast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide precise end to end execution of HR services and processes to support strategic objectives.

  • Liaison with our third-party vendors supporting US Health & Welfare for active and retiree population.

  • Manage data clean-up and plan elimination projects.

  • Play a critical role in the planning and execution of Annual Enrollment and post-enrollment activities – co-own the UAT testing strategy with the vendor, develop test cases and complete UAT testing validating results meet requirements, train new testers, escalate defects, acts as a process SME to other testers, etc.

  • Partner with Legal and Corporate Compensation & Benefits leaders on executing total well-being initiatives – case and plan reviews, recommendations for communications, plan elimination, ensuring plan and participant data accuracy, etc.

  • Wellness program administration including communications, scheduling biometric screenings for seventy-five locations, coordinating logistics with the vendors and on-site contacts, deliver kick-off calls with HRG’s, and report screening results to the business.

  • Manage SalesForce cases ensuring timely and accurate responses back to participants.

  • Lead the Charlotte on-site Health Fair and biometric screening events – vendor management, site logistics (mailroom use, security access, reserving conference rooms, etc.), check-in process, etc.

  • Manage the non-core benefit administration, service awards and tuition reimbursement processes by partnering with the vendors, participants, and leadership.

  • Build easy and intuitive processes to enable right and fast delivery of benefit solutions.

  • Research files, escalations, appeals, plan information, etc. leveraging multiple data sources, conducting data analysis and communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Recommend enhancements and simplification of existing systems, processes and procedures based on trends, feedback, and experience.

  • Assist in the coordination of communication materials, including those required for legal and compliance standards and review.

  • Ensures benefit processes are documented and opportunities for improvement are identified.

  • Leads and/or assists with root cause analysis and developing corrective action strategies.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3 years proficient knowledge in health and welfare and retirement benefit administration functions, including vendor interaction points, employee changes and qualifying events, appeals, and the annual enrollment experience.

  • 3 years of project management experience, including excellent planning, time management, decision making and organizational skills. Exposure to difficult or complex projects while managing multiple priorities.

  • Excellent analytical, statistical, and reporting skills.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with high accuracy.

  • High attention to detail and a process improvement mindset.

  • Strong written and documentation skills, ability to communicate complex issues in a concise manner.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Advanced problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Reporting and transaction experience with PeopleSoft HCM/Oracle HCM.

  • Case management experience with SalesForce/ServiceNow.
