Job Description:

This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

This Sr Data Analyst role will be a member of the Regulatory Data team within Enterprise Credit Analytics & Transformation Strategy (ECATS). The Regulatory Data team provides subject matter expertise, manages data capture and sourcing and provides data for critical U.S. and international regulatory reporting for wholesale credit including FR Y-14Q Schedule H, SNC, AnaCredit and HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act).

This role will collaborate closely with enterprise credit teams, reporting production teams, data owners, finance/risk reporting teams, and the CFO Group to deploy regulatory reporting solutions, execute initiatives to improve data quality and operational excellence, and provide subject matter expertise on regulatory data requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set

  • Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship

  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform

  • Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform

  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents

  • Supports quarterly FRY14Q Schedule H Wholesale Risk data provisioning and submission to Federal Reserve Bank

  • Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends reporting strategies

  • Supports comprehensive audits and data quality reviews

  • Creates and updates user training and guidance documentation resulting from enhancements and/or changes to existing supplemental data capture processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of finance/risk analytics experience

  • MUST have Regulatory Reporting experience

  • Ability to analyze problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to resolve

  • Data skills and experience with analysis and reporting tools, including basic SQL and intermediate Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence decisions to achieve desired results

  • Ability to navigate the enterprise to research and resource information across the bank

  • Proven leader within highly-matrixed organizations

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of FRY Schedule Q & H

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of regulatory reporting schedules

  • Familiarity with commercial/corporate loan agreements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with leadership, Compliance, Audit and Credit Review on a regular basis

  • Experience in Commercial Banking, credit underwriting, monitoring and collateral analysis and familiar with credit policy and procedures

  • Regulatory, audit, and/or issue management experience

  • Tableau experience

  • Knowledge of/experience using Confluence

  • International Regulatory Reporting experience

  • Familiarity with the use of Pivot Tables and writing formulas

  • Experience with SQL, coding language, python or C+ Shift:

1st shift (United States of America)
