The Fleet Technician is responsible for maintaining the parts inventory for the maintenance shop, ordering parts, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with minor technology support. Monitor, track and order maintenance parts, fuel, shop supplies, and tools from vendors to ensure a regular inventory of supplies for the shop while staying on budget. Update AssetWorks with respect to employee access and fleet asset inventory data. Accurately code and enter invoices in GovAP. Run reports in AssetWorks. Coordinate and execute AssetWorks software maintenance and expansion. Assist in minor troubleshooting by monitoring, determining the cause of, and correcting errors. Support technicians in servicing and maintaining vehicles (i.e. changing tires, diagnosing vehicle problems). Substitute as a snowplow operator as needed. Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
