The Product Agronomist works with the Technical Services Manager in product evaluation trials, supporting product advancement and positioning. Works directly with local sales teams to create and deliver the product information and training information to improve the product knowledge of the team, promoting the productivity and profitability of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Product Evaluation and Life Cycle Management
Collect information and observations related to the performance o Pioneer and Brevant Brand seed products and associated technologies
Provide overall performance evaluations on Pioneer and Brevant seed products
Coordinate Area product evaluation trials with local Seed Product Development teams (IMPACT or equivalent)
Serve as liaison between local field sales and seed product development teams
Lead district GAP analysis processes
Represent Districts in product advancement discussions and decisions
Guide Territory teams on new product introduction, product life cycle and demand planning activities
Technical Product Training
Work with Area and District teams to provide support for information and training to field sales force on product characteristics, product positioning and crop management practices
Work with Pioneer Sales Agronomist and Retail Territory Manager on product training
Sales Support
Resolve customer service calls involving product performance when unable to be resolved by the Sales Agronomist or Retail Territory Manager
Assist with sales calls as needed
Individual Accountability
- Collaborate with and support colleagues and management in an effective manner demonstrating and modeling the Corteva Core Values
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
Bachelors degree is required. Masters degree in Agronomy, Plant Breeding or Digital Agriculture is preferred. Will consider other degrees with related experience.
Five to seven years experience in agronomy, plant breeding or seeds industry and proven competencies.
Must live in area they serve.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to the US
