Job Title: Plumbing Apprentice
Job Description
As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will be responsible for the installation of new pipes (PVC and PEX), utilizing roughing techniques, cutting pipes, performing light carpentry work, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining clean work areas and trucks. This role requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Install new pipes (PVC and PEX) using roughing techniques
Cut pipes accurately and safely
Perform light carpentry tasks
Load and unload materials
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and trucks
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
Essential Skills
Experience with plumbing and pipe fitting
Knowledge of sewer repair and sewer jetting
Proficiency in installing and repairing PVC, copper, and PEX pipes
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
Light carpentry experience

Work Environment
You will be working outdoors on new construction sites. The role involves early morning shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The work environment may require lifting up to 50 lbs and working from heights or in small crawl spaces. Dress code and safety gear will be required as per site regulations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheektowaga, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
