Job Title: Manufacturing Support Technician
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Pay Range: $17.50 with pay increases
Our client, in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Support Tech to join their team. Long term, temp to hire position. Must be able to work rotating (2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights) 12-hour shifts (2,2,3 schedule) for our 24/7 operation.
What’s the Job?
The Manufacturing Support Technician is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the granulation operation are accomplished to meet production requirements
specific housekeeping assignments set forth in the Plant Housekeeping Plan and as directed by Production Supervisors, Production Leads and/or Production Engineers
Assembles Granulation Production data to track product movement and assist with inventories and material balance
Constantly monitors Fluff Silo levels and keeps the Production Lead and Pelletizing Technician updated on the status of the Granulators and Fluff Silos
Proficient in the safe use of forklifts, clamp trucks, motorized handcarts and other material handling equipment, as required
What’s Needed?
Must be available to work overtime as necessary, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as scheduled
Demonstrates a high degree of self-motivation, professionalism and integrity
Willingness to learn in various areas throughout the plant
Background check and drug screen required
