Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Chesapeake, Virginia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing benefits, updating or designing new company policies, and assisting with accounting responsibilities. This position is an integral part of our team, contributing to the efficient operation of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Managing benefits for the company's employees
• Updating existing company policies or designing new ones as needed
• Assisting the CFO with accounting responsibilities
• Ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
• Overseeing the administration of 401K plans
• Handling payroll taxes and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Processing weekly payroll checks
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks related to payroll and benefits
• Managing and resolving any issues related to payroll
• Communicating effectively with employees and management about payroll issues and policies.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Experience with 401k - RRSP Administration is required
• Knowledge and understanding of Benefit Functions
• Experience with Check Processing
• Familiarity with Weekly Payroll procedures
• Understanding of Payroll Taxes and related laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field preferred
