Our Award-Winning Goddard School, located at 10211 Krause Road in Chesterfield is hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher (17 - 24 months) full-time (hours 7:30 - 4:30), with 6 plus months of experience.  We are an accredited preschool serving 6 weeks - 12 years of age.   Overview A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for: * Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers * Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and participate in parent-teacher conferences * Maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore  * Responds to the needs of children * Implement lesson plans for assigned classroom using the Wonders of Learning Curriculum * Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded * Observes all rules and regulations of The Goddard School and local, and state regulatory agencies * Keeps accurate attendance numbers at all times, including signing children in/out in attendance binder and on tablet * Following the diapering procedure for Virginia and able to lift up to 40 lbs. Benefits * Paid Holidays after 90-days of employment * Paid Time -Off after 90-days of employment * Health Insurance Available Educational Qualifications All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher, must have either a degree in Education (Associated, or Bachelor's) or CDA (or show proof that you are enrolled in the program).  Applicants can also be enrolled in college courses or the CDA program at the time of applying.  Must also have at least 6 months or more working in a licensed childcare facility/school setting.
