Brookfield Properties is looking for a highly motivated individual to work on the Hospitality Asset Management team in our Chicago, Illinois office. The analyst will play a critical role in supporting VP of asset management on increasing revenue, improving profitability, executing renovations, and asset repositioning. Role & Responsibilities:

• This individual will participate in monthly operating reviews, hotel visits, and financial transactions (buying, selling, refinancing, etc.)

• Financial Analysis: Analyze and synthesize P&L statements, STR reports, sales & marketing reports, and other key metrics to help identify key risks and opportunities

• Renovation Projects: Assist in the execution of renovation projects, preparing ROI analysis, and budget tracking

• Reporting: Prepare and support asset managers with weekly and monthly reporting, advanced modeling and recommendations

• Market Research: Produce and deliver in-depth analysis on market fundamentals

• Special Situations: Provide support on broader portfolio and investment considerations, and complete ad hoc analysis as necessary

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Hospitality, or Finance

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in operations finance or a hospitality-related role

• Keen interest in learning about hotel asset management from experienced and regarded individuals in the industry

• Polished written and oral communication skills

• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel with the ability to produce clear, and concise presentations

• Strong understanding of hospitality trends, operations, and financial analysis

• Self-motivated, curios, reliable, and detail-oriented with the capability to thrive in a high-energy, collaborative team

• Strong analytical skills with the ability synthesize data to help facilitate decision-making

• Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, often under pressure to meet demanding deadlines
