Position Summary

Huron is seeking an experienced and dynamic CRM Financial Services Business Development Director to lead our business development efforts within the financial services and regulated industries sector. The ideal executive candidate will have extensive knowledge of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, AI, Data Management, Sales Performance Management, and Enterprise Planning Management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of selling high value consulting services and building lasting client relationships.

The candidate will have extensive experience selling complex and broad solutions and services to new and existing clients. The executive will source new business opportunities/engagements by using an existing network of professional contacts and by initiating and developing relationships with executive client professionals, professional advisors, and partner channels that lead to signed contracts for Huron to deliver professional services. The candidate will be able to identify and assist in closing consulting services.

The candidate will sell consulting and advisory services to the C-Level with regards to leveraging technology to enable financial transformation, digital solutions, and customer experience. Success may be found selling through the Oracle, Workday, and Data Management and Analytics digital sales organizations or directly to the end user. Additionally, the candidate is expected to build and leverage existing Salesforce relationships to drive new opportunities.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth in the financial services sector.

  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud to lead efforts to design and implement CRM solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Utilize advanced Huron AI and Data Management techniques to enhance CRM sales strategies and drive client success.

  • Implement and optimize sales performance management capabilities to improve sales productivity and achieve revenue targets.

  • Utilize enterprise planning management sales solution initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives and client requirements to transform their business.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business challenges and providing tailored consulting solutions. Excellent ability interface with C-level leadership.

  • Lead consultative selling processes, identifying client needs and delivering customized solutions that drive business value.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on selling consulting services valued at $6 - $10 million or more.

  • Develop and execution of market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the financial services sector.

  • Lead the development of compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of our consulting services.

  • Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and service delivery, to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

  • Provide regular pipeline reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a focus on selling high-value consulting services in the financial services sector.

  • Proven track record of selling consulting services worth $7-10 million or more annually.

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of AI applications and data management practices within CRM.

  • Experience with sales performance management tools and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of enterprise planning management and its application in financial services.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to senior executives.

  • Advanced level MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Financial Services Cloud Consultant) are highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with other CRM tools, data analytics platforms, and project management software.

  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements and market trends.

  • Experience in public speaking.
