What you'll be doing
As a member of the US Cloud Strategy and Enablement team, you’ll develop strategies and participate in specific initiatives to adopt cloud services across our business-aligned technologies and organization.
As a Cloud Technical Project Manager, you’ll drive US Technology adoption of cloud platforms, particularly the CIBC Azure tenant. You plan, track, and coordinate the buildout of application environments, including cloud infrastructure and other supporting services. You identify and mitigate project risks and improve procedures and operating models.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Project Planning and Coordination - develop, track, and report on detailed project plans and tasks, identifying and escalating issues and risks.
Technical Advisory - assist developers and engineers with identifying required technologies and services for intended technology solutions.
Task Management - submit Service and Change Requests for the provisioning of cloud resources, access control mechanisms, network configurations and similar services; driving such requests to completion.
Processes and Standards - document and share CIBC and vendor processes and standards, maintaining awareness of service changes and making required updates to protocols.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience with: Planning and managing complex IT system deployments and migrations; coordinating tasks across multiple technology teams in a large enterprise.
It’s an Asset if: You have experience in Azure or other hyperscale cloud environments, use of JIRA or similar work management tools, PMP or other project management certifications.
