Google Corporate Services Category Manager, GPO in Chicago, Illinois
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
7 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading activities such as sourcing strategy development, RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within corporate services related categories.
5 years of experience supporting category strategy and sourcing within corporate services teams (i.e., Finance, IT, HR, Outsourcing/Consulting firms, Corporate Services, Legal, etc.) or related areas.
Experience with contract drafting, review, and management within corporate services related categories, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, and experience in partnering cross-functionally.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree.
Certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience in developing and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure category performance and track progress towards strategic goals.
Experience leveraging technology/analytical tools to enhance category management practices and drive data-based decisions.
Proficiency analyzing procurement data, generating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation.
Ability to lead strategic projects or initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes, implementing new strategies, or driving innovation.
The Category Team is responsible for developing and driving holistic category strategies, managing stakeholder relationships, and bringing excellence to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management.
In this role, you will be responsible for pioneering innovative category and sourcing strategies, cultivating strategic supplier relationships, and optimizing spend categories through data-driven insights to unlock value for Google.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Support development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives for assigned indirect spend categories.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.
Support execution of sourcing strategies, RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations within designated categories.
Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and identify value opportunities within the category.
Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making and performance evaluation within the category.
