JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Chicago Department of Aviation

Number of Positions: 2 (TWO)

DUTIES: The Financial Analyst for the Chicago Department of Aviation performs the following duties: Performs ad hoc financial and cash flow analysis for bond and commercial paper offerings. Conducts Data extraction and analysis as it pertains to the financing and funding of the Terminal Airport Plan. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to Federal, State and Local agencies. Extracts, compiles, analyzes and prepares information for internal and external audiences. Supports reviews of financial systems and data, including preparing written documentation of results. Uses proprietary capital finance software and advanced Excel, systematically. Organizes data, prepares and presents written, oral and visual presentations. Conducts financial modeling forecasts for the airport utilizing economic data, historic trends, and industry specific databases. Encumbers funds and process section invoices. Performs other related duties as required.

LOCATION: Chicago Department of Aviation, O’Hare International Airport (ORD)

10510 W. ZEMKE, AVIATION ADMIN BULIDING

HOURS: 8:30am - 4:30pm

DAYS: Monday - Friday

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field, plus one year of work experience in the analysis of financial records.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires applicants to complete and interview The interviewed candidates who possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected AND:

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:

Previous work experience manipulating and presenting data with Excel and Pivot Tables.

Previous work experience with Tableau or other business intelligence software.

Proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite.

Previous experience in using Oracle (or similar) Accounting Databases.

Eligible candidates must have at least six months of active duty documented. Failure to answer the question and attach the required documentation will result in you not being considered for the Veterans Preference.

Residency Requirement: All employees of the City of Chicago must be actual residents of the City as outlined in 2-152-050 of the City of Chicago Municipal Code. Proof of residency will be required.
