Financial Analyst

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Sampco business unit. This role is located at our Corporate office in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly and monthly P&L reporting

  • Assist in annual budgeting, quarterly forecast and consolidation process

  • Provide in-depth variance analysis of financial performance and business metrics (actual/budget/prior year)

  • Management reporting that includes collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

  • Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly management presentations

  • Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities

  • AR Monitoring; Weekly Reporting

  • Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts

  • Complete month and year-end duties

  • Journal Entry Processing

  • Lead operational and accounting improvement projects

  • Frequent Ad-hoc result-driven analysis

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive

  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple priorities

  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines

  • Effective communication skills across disciplines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 ; and

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
