As the HR Director, you will have a pivotal role in fostering a healthy workplace culture, high-performing staff, and compliance with labor laws. Furthermore, you will develop and implement HR strategies that are in alignment with the objectives of the business and maintain a positive work environment within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy

  • Design and manage comprehensive HR policies and procedures

  • Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and labor relations

  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state human resource requirements

  • Nurture an inclusive and sustainable high-performance culture

  • Manage the performance review and appraisal systems

  • Develop and manage the HR department's budget

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • 2-3 years of proven experience as an HR Director

  • Proven work experience within the union space

  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices

  • Familiarity with the industry's legal aspects in terms of employment and labor laws.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Outstanding organizational and people management skills.

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is a plus
