Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Chicago, Illinois

Looking for qualified Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to perform the following job duties:

  • Mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment (Boilers, Blast Furnaces, Cranes, forging Presses, Hydraulic Presses, Pumps, Gearboxes, Mobile Equipment, etc.

  • Need to be well versed with power transmission knowledge

  • Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Perform MIG and STICK welding, cutting, and fabrication work

  • Ability to read blueprints for repairs

  • Use of hand and power tools for repairs

  • Teardown and rebuilds of equipment

  • Regular preventative maintenance on all machinery

  • Repair or replace belts, bearings, chains, shafts, sprockets, cylinders, and gearboxes

  • Greasing, oiling, and lubrication of parts and equipment

  • Direct Hire with good benefits

Openings on all 3 shifts:

  • 1st shift: 6am-2:30pm

  • 2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm

  • 3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am

  • Must be available to work overtime, up to 55 hours per week, 5-7 days per week

  • Anything after 8 hours daily is 1.5X

  • Saturdays are automatically 1.5X

  • Sundays are automatically 2.0X

  • Quarterly production incentive bonuses paid out between 2%-8%
