THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Analytics, the Senior Healthcare Data Analyst will be involved in the programming, data mining and analysis of healthcare data with an emphasis on medical economics, clinical and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data analysis and advanced proficiency in SAS to support data driven decision making to improve the health outcomes of the patients and populations we support.

WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

Translate complex health care data into actionable insights to drive healthcare quality and efficiency.

Perform data manipulations and statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualizations to communicate finding to stakeholders.

Conduct analysis to support Shared Savings and other key improvement programs.

Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of the Analytic DataMart including quality checks, identifying data issues, and working with partners to create solutions.

Work with clinical and IT teams to operationalize analytic and reporting innovations.

Complete a variety of clinical and financial client ad hoc analyses in an efficient and timely manner.

Support the development and evaluation of value-based care models and strategies supporting safety net providers.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelors degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, public health, or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis. Masters degree preferred.

4+ years professional SAS experience, including data step programming, PROC SQL, macros and statistical procedures.

Advanced knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and clinical data preferably in a in a managed care, Medicaid, Medicare, or health plan setting.

Strong understanding of health care quality measures, risk adjustment, and value base payment models

Ability to work independently on multiple projects leveraging strong organizational and time management skills.

Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with other data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
