PROJECT MANAGER

  • Under general supervision, fulfills a lead role in ensuring that projects and programs overseen by the PMO are defined, planned, implemented, and operated successfully, particularly where Information Services (IS) resources are required.
  • The company is currently undergoing a Digital Transformation, involving the integration of digital technologies into every aspect of the organization. A significant aspect of the transformation is reimagining the current accreditation model to establish a novel outcomes-based model for accreditation.
  • The focus of this position will be to project manage the creation and establishment of a multi-faceted accreditation ecosystem.
  • Experience with Application Development, Infrastructure projects and Business Operational workflow and processes is required.
  • The Project Manager ensures success through detailed and thorough management of projects and programs in accordance with the PMO\'s methodology, as well as by serving as a valued resource to other departments.
  • The Project Manager will play a critical role in leading and overseeing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully and within scope, time, and budget constraints. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership to drive the achievement of strategic business goals.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and the ability to mentor and guide junior project managers will be essential in this role. The projects will involve managing both internal and external resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage small-to-medium scale projects from initiation through

closure; develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using Microsoft Project Professional and Web Application, schedules, budgets, deliverables, communication plans, risk logs, action logs, status reports, and performance metrics from concept through the full project life cycle; ensure project objectives are met and stakeholders are satisfied. Act as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, develops, maintains, and evolves reporting project dashboards based on standard methodologies, processes, project management tools, and reporting metrics such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to communicate project status updates to appropriate stakeholders addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

Works with the PMO, IS, and departmental staff members to identify, document, and adhere to project requirements, financial management, and delivery, while simultaneously engaging in resource capacity planning and allocation for projects so expectations are clear, requirements are defined, risks are identified, and appropriate levels of support are provided.

Collaborate with resource managers to ensure the availability and allocation of necessary project resources; monitor and optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency.

Oversees and manages multiple projects within the IS Department simultaneously.

Plans change management tasks required for the organization to accept, adapt, and support initiatives, including effective communication, adequate training/ coaching, and documentation.

Working closely with the Director, PMO, advances the maturity of the PMO by continuously improving the effectiveness of project management, PMO services, and PMO methodology.

Supports creation of templates and editing of guidelines and procedures, while validating appropriate do umentation associated with projects are accurate and complete in accordance with established PMO guidelines; provides support to IS and other departments to ensure compliance with PMO guidelines and procedures for new projects.

Continuously assess and enhance project management processes, methodologies, and tools within the PMO.

Mentor and guide junior project managers within the PMO and from other departments, fostering their professional growth and development while a collaborative and high-performing project team environment.

Coordinates the efforts of project team members and third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects on time.

Manages vendor relationships, including working with external counterparts to ensure PMO standards are met, invoicing is appropriate, and ultimate project success.

Provides support to the IS and other departments to ensure compliance with PMO guidelines, procedures, and work instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

Bachelor\'s degree in business management, management information services (MIS), health, or a related field.

Project Management Institute (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
